     Charles Henry Glanville was educated on 13 February 1905 at Hitherfield Road School, Lambeth, SRY, ENG, this being date of admission, father Charles William, address 7 Approach Road, previous school Southsea, leaving for Alleyns School. He began military service on 2 December 1914 no 2062 in the Army Service Corps. Height 5ft 6in, 35in expanded chest, recorded age 20years, 6months. He ended military service on 21 May 1915; when he left to join the regular army. He began military service on 21 May 1915 341 Company M.T. A.S.C., regimental no. M2/102353, a driver, going to Rouen on the SS Queen Alexandra in 1916.
     This is believed to be Pilot Officer C.H. Glanville, the Investigating Service Engineer at No.12 Balloon Centre, who were based at RAF Titchfield (Fareham) in Hampshire, UK, regarding a collision between a Blenheim Aircraft and a balloon cable on the 26th August 1940.
