DIED- James H. GLANVILLE, aged 55 years, another pioneer of this part of Houghton
county, died at his Tamarack City home of cancer. He was born in Dodgeville,
Wisconsin 1850 June 19. He came to Houghton County 18 years ago and spent the
first year in Lake Linden, then moved to Tamarack City where he stayed till his death.
In 1872 he married Miss Mariam JAMES in Dodgeville, who survives him and they had
three children- Clarence of Mass City; Lulu and Mary and his mother, all 3 living at home.
Also one brother-William J. GLANVILLE of Arizona; 3 sisters- Mrs. Joseph HOSKING of
Lake Linden; Mrs. Sarah CHAPPELL and Miss Annie GLANVILLE, both of Madison,
Wisconsin.
