Glanville, Chester Gordon-A resident of Providence Bay passed away on Saturday, January 23, 1993 at the age of 60 years. Son of the late Harold Russell and Matilda Irene Brown Glanville. Chester had worked for the Lands and Forests for 15 years until the early 1970s after which he was employed at various jobs including truck driving and commercial fishing. Beloved husband of the former Reta Blue. Dear father of Patricia Glanville and Bill of Barrie; Marion and son-in-law Gary Chisholm of Hamilton; Vivian and son-in-law Mathew of Shilo, Manitoba; Nancy and son-in-law Steven Wyman of Elliot Lake; Janice and son-in-law Timothy Bertozzi of Hamilton; Marilyn Glanville of Sudbury and Gordon and daughter-in-law Colleen Glanville of Wawa. Grandfather of 17 grandchildren. Dear brother of Dora Ringland of Pennsylvania, Steven of Vancouver; Frederick and sister-in-law Viola of Bayfeld; Harold and sister-in-law Loretta of Crediton and Leslie and sister-in-law Elsie of Providence Bay. He is predeceased by brothers Charles, John, Frank, Lyman and sister Eva and one grandchild. Visitors were received at the Providence Bay Community Centre on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services were conducted at the community centre on Wednesday at 4 pm with Mr. Steve Fletcher officiating. Interment in Providence Bay Cemetery. In remembrance donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
     He was buried at Providence Bay Cemetery, Providence Bay, Manitoulin Island, ONT, CAN.
