Winifred Glanvill

In the Name of God Amen. I Dame Winifred Glanvill of Broadhinton in the County of Wilts widow
of Sr John Glanvill Knt deceased, being of perfect memory & strength of Mind, but weak of body do make
this my last Will & testament in manner & forme following. First I bequeath my Soule to God that
gave it & my body to the grave to be decently buried in ye Chancill of ye pish Church of Broadhinton
next to the body of my most deare huband. Next, I revoke all former Wills by me made.
And of such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with all I make this disposall.
First to my Son John Glanvill I give one hundred pounds to be paid unto him within one yeare after
my decease. To his Daughter Winifred Glanville I give one hundred pounds to be paid unto her when she shall
have accomplished the age of twenty years. To my Sonne Julius I give the sume of two hundred pounds
to be paid within a yeare after my decease. To my Daughter in Law Frances Glanvill the wife
of William mine eldest son I give my crimson velvet pettycoat & wastcoat to make household stuff of it what its she
please, I give likewise to my said Daughter in Law Francis aforesaid my Sables Muf & Tippef
I give to my three married Daughters & to my two other daughters in law six pounds apiece to buy them a
piece of plate, I give to my Sistr in law Mrs Mary Boucheir a mourning ring with a Diamond in it of forty
shillings price. I give to my Grandchild Winifred Glanville the elder To my Grandchild Katherine Edgcumbe ten pounds apiece & to my Grandchild Winifred
Baskerville one hundred pounds to be paid to her within one year after her marriage and till then the use
thereof after the rate of six pounds to find to be yearly paid to her. I give to my Daughter Edgcumbe my
purple velvet gowns. I give to my daughter Baskervill such of my cloaths or wearing apparrell as she
shall make choyen of that shall be fitt for her wearing.
I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Glanvill my Sylver bason, one dozen of Sylver spoons & two sylver porring
two sylver salts one sylver sawer the sylver cup given by my nephew William Bourchier & the sylver cup
with a Cover given me by the Lady Gibb, likewise I give to my said Daughter Elizabeth my little Cabanet
given me by Mr Fursman & likewise and household linnen as I have made since the death of my deare
husband. I give to my servants Henry Witt & Nicholas ffrancklyn forty shillings apeice & to the rest
of my servants twenty shillings apiece. I give to ye poor of Broadhinton five pounds & I desire
noe Blacks may be given at my ffuneral. And lastly I give under myne eldest Sonne William
Glanvill all my Goods & chattels whatsoever, Plate, Stock upon the Demesne of Broadhinton aforesaid
and whatsoever may or ought to belong to ye same within dores or without, And I make him the said William
Glanvill my sole Executor of this my last Will & testament, In witness whereoff I have heareunto
set my hand & seal this twentieth day of September in ye fowerteenth yeare of ye raign of our Souviraign
Lord Charles by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King Defender of ye ffaith &etc;
and in ye yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred sixty & two.
