OWOSSO – LeRoy Joseph “Chilo” Rheaume, 83, of Owosso, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Cal Long officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
LeRoy was born August 5, 1933, in Lake Linden, the son of John and Diane (Massie) Rheaume.
He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School, Class of 1952, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and attended the GM Institute for two years.
LeRoy was an avid sportsman and looked forward to fishing. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at their many activities and sporting events. He also enjoyed going to coffee hour with friends at the First United Methodist Church, where he attended.
He married Gail Elizabeth Glanville in Lake Linden on October 29, 1955.
LeRoy retired from General Motors after 25 years of service as a machinist.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Gail; sons, Scott Rheaume and Kirk (Gussy) Rheaume; daughter, Susan (Larry) Fries; grandchildren, Aaron (Jessica) Rheaume, Matthew Rheaume, Jenna Fries and Preston Rheaume; great-granddaughters, Isabella, Ellison and Allegra; many other loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Robert and Ransom Rheaume; sisters, Geraldine Blau, Violet Josephson, Betty Jean Wilshire and Katherine Schmuhl; and a daughter-in-law, Paula Rheaume.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Owosso, Hospice House of Shiawassee County, or The Shiawassee County Humane Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred Glanville and Mary Beulah Jones Glanville.
Funeral services for Mr. Glanville will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Appold officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, Kentucky.
Visitation for Mr. Glanville will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at The Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at The Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
