He married Sarah Neville on 25 November 1874 at St Mary, Reading, BRK, ENG, (when age calculated as 77 years, 7 months and 12 days) both of full age and both widowed. Sarah marrying as Sarah Thompson. Registered Reading.
He died on 24 April 1881 at Stratford sub Castle, WIL, ENG, (when age calculated as 84); registered Alderbury, recorded age 84.
Royal Cornwall Gazette 29 Apr 1881 : Mr Francis Glanville, of Catchfrench, St Germans, died on Sunday at Stratford sub-Castle at the ripe old age of 84. The late Mr Glanville succeeded his father in 1846. He married in 1821 Amabel, sixth daughter of the late Right Honourable Reginald Pole Carew, of Anthony. He was a J.P. and D.L. for Devon and Cornwall.
His estate was probated on 30 July 1881 indexed as:
1881 GLANVILLE Francis formerly of Keaton in the Parish of Ermington, Devon but late of Stratford sub Castle, Wiltshire, esquire who died on 24 April 1881 at Stratford sub Castle. Will with two codicils proved at Salisbury on 30 July by the Reverend Henry Glanville of Sheviock Rectory, Cornwall, clerk and Reginald Carew Glanville of Truro, esquire, the sons, the executors, estate £8,803-15-4.
