Francis Selleck Glanville was born in 1814 at Plymouth, DEV, ENG.He was baptized on 30 October 1814 at St Andrews Parish Church, Plymouth, DEV, ENG, Francis Selleck son of James Mary Ann Glanvill, abode Plymo.
He married Sarah Lewis on 26 January 1839 at St Andrews Parish Church, Plymouth, DEV, ENG, (when age calculated as 25 years) registered Plymouth. Both of full age, father named James Glanville labourer, John Lewis labourer. Witness Jane Glanville.
He died on 6 April 1861 at East Stonehouse registered, DEV, ENG.
He was buried at Ford Park Cemetery, Plymouth, DEV, ENG, there is photographic evidence that the current memorial replaces an earlier one. The memorial inscription visible in 2006 reads "Sacred to the memory of Francis Sellick Glanvill died april 6th 1861 aged 46 years. And his wife Sarah died march 26th 1901 age 87 years. Also Charles King beloved husband of Sarah King and son-in-law of the above who passed to the higher life feby 12th 1911 aged 66 years. With Christ which is far better. Also Sarah King wife of the above died feby 10th 1925 aged 80 years at rest.
