Annie Helen Glanville was born circa May 1858 at Bristol, SOM, ENG; registered Bristol.She married Charles Woodman Glanville, son of Thomas Glanville and Elizabeth Woodman, on 17 February 1887 at St Peter's church, Clerkenwell, MDX, ENG, registered Holborn. After banns, his age 24, hers 28. Bachelor and spinster. Fathers named Thomas Glanvill tailor, William Glanvill boot maker. Witnesses Thomas Glanville, Beatrrice Glanvill, William Robert Glanvill. This was a marriage of first cousins.
She died circa May 1909 at Edmonton registered, MDX, ENG; recorded age 50.
The Tottenham and Edmonton Weekly Herald 21 May 1909 reported the Wood Green Coroner's Court at the Town Hall where both her husband and son Charles attested that she had given way to drink for twelve years, drinking gin on credit bought from off-licences, despite the best efforts of her husband. She had twice been in an Inebriates Home. She pawned and sold items to pay for the drink. Son Charles came home as 7pm and found her daead on the bedroom floor, on her back, the post mortem found she died of asphyxia, the organs showing signs of alcoholism.
