St Germans and County of Cornwall Esq being of
sound mind but infirm in body do hereby make my
last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is
to say Imprimis I recommend my Soul to the
Mercy of that God who gave it me and my body
I commit to the grave wheresoever I may happen
to decease Item I desire that all my just debts
be immediately satisfied particularly the sum of
thirty pounds lent to me by Rev Fornings of
Shire London Attorney at law I desire likewise
that by debts due at Oxford whose amount I
know not exact be punctually discharged Item I
give and bequeath to my beloved ffriend the
Reverend Charles francis of Quailborough in the
County of Wilts the Sum of twenty pounds for
Mourning Item I give and bequeath to the
Reverent Mr Penward of St Gfermans in the
County of Cornwall the sum of ten pounds for
Mourning The aforesaid several Debts and Legacies
are to be paid out of the sum of two thousand
five hundred pounds being the Savings out of the
Estate left me by my late ffather Sr John
Glanville Knight which said sum is now in the
pofsefsion of my dearly beloved mother Dame
Mary Glanvill whom I do hereby constitute and
appoint my Trustee and Executrix of this my
last will and Testament Item when the aforesaid
Debts and Legacies shall be so satisfied as aforesaid
I give and bequeath the residue to be divided equally
between my dearly beloved Mother Dame Mary
Glanvill and my dearly beloved Sister Mary Glanvill

Esq deceased and also with his manner and characater
of handwriting and subscription having frequently
seen him writ and write and subscribe his name and
having more viewed and carefully persused the
paper writing hereunto annexed being or purporting
to be the last Will and Testament of the said deceased
beginning thus "In the Name of God Amen I John
Glanvill of Catchfrench in the parish of St Germans
County of Cornwall Esq" ending thus "In Wtness
thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this third day of January in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven"
and thus subscribed "John Glanvill" they those
Deponents do severally verily and in their conscious
believe the whole Body, Series and Contents of
the said paper writing beginining and ending as
