      In 1840 at Plymouth Borough Session 26 Oct 1840. Ann Screech als Glanville was sentenced to 14 years transportation for Larceny before convicted of felony. Her recorded age was 37. She was transported on the Rajah to Van Dieman's land.
      In 1840 at the time of conviction she was believed to be married to a Henry Glanville of Plymouth, a tubemaker and had 4 children who were transported with her.
      Tasmanian records list her up to 1851 when it appears her sentence expired and she intended to live in Hobart. Between arriving on the Rajah by 24 July 1841 she served numerous hard labour penalties for crimes such a drunkeness and being out after hours.
The Tasmanian records identify her as transported for stealing a blanket and former convictions addicted to pilfering, drinking, prostitute. These records re the source of her husband's name and trade in Plymouth.
