of me George Glanvill of No. 21 North Street in the parish of St John the
Evangelist in the City of Westminster in the County of Middlesex victualler
having the greatest confidence in my beloved wife Elizabeth Glanvill I do therefore
direct and appoint her sole executrix of this my last will and teastament
and I give and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Glanvill the
house situated No. 22 1/2 Little Queen Street in the parish of St Margaret in
the aforesaid City of Westminster for her own use and benefit during the term
of her natural life and after her decease I desire the said house to be sold and
the produce to be divided equally between the children as hereinafter directed that
is to say if the said Elizabeth Glanvill survive the minority of the youngest
child then the signatures of the surviving children shall be all that is necefsary
for the validity of such sale if the said Elizabeth Glanvill should die during
the minority of the youngest child then the proceeds of the house aforesaid
shall revert and become part and parcel of my general estate and shall be dealt
with as such by the trustees and I desire and direct that all my just debts
funeral and testamentary expenses and the cost and charges of proving this
my will be be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and I give devise
and bequeath all the residue and remainder of my estate houses and affects
of very description whatever monies and securities for money of what nature or kind
soever of which I or any person or persons in trust for me may be pofsefsed of or intitled
to at the time of my decease together with the produce of the goodwill of
the house and businefs I now occupy as also the stock fixtures and utensils in
the said house and which I desire may be disposed of as soon as practicable after
my decease to the best advantage unto my said wife Elizabeth Glanvill in trust for
and on behalf of herself and children until the youngest child attain the age of
twenty one years sufficiently allowing the said Elizabeth Glanvill for all continued
acrejsaries (?) during their minority and I also desire that on the youngest child attaining
the age of twenty one years or at some subsequent period the whole of the
residue of my estate be disposed of and the produce to be equally divided between the
said mother and children unlefs they mutually agree to the contrary but should
the mother die after the youngest child attains the age of twenty one years and
before the sale and division of the aforesaid property by the signatures of the surviving
children shall be sufficient to validate the sale as in the case before recited should
either of the said children die previous to the property being divided and leave a
child or children born in wedlock in that case the parents share of such property
shall or the property of the child or children if no child the said property shall
be divided between the Mother and surviviing children should the said Elizabeth
Glanville die previous to the youngest childs attaining the age of twenty one years
I do appoint Mr Thomas Treloar cocoa nut fibre manufacturer of No. 42
Ludgate Hill in the City of London and Mr William Burdock Roberts milkman
of No 30 Tufton Street in the City of Westminster as Trustees to the said property
for the benefit of the said children and in that case I hereby direct that the said
trustees take pofsefsion of all my estate and all expenses arriving for the clothing
education and maintenance of my children shall be defrayed out of the annual
proceeds of the same only as their judgemenht shall direct and on the youngest
child attaining the age of twenty one years or as soon as conveniently may be
the said trustees shall cause the whole of my estate including the before mentioned
No. 22 1/2 Little Queen Street to be sold by public auction and the proceeds
after all necefsary expenses are paid to be equally divided among the surviving
