In June 1912 his partners decided to dissolve partnership and go abroad and patient had to decide whether to take on the whole practice or take in another partner. After much worry he took in another partner. At first the new partnership give him a great deal of anxiety and about Xmas 1912 he "broke down" feeling that he could nto do his work. Went to his brother in Hampshire and returned much better and contrived to improve until Xmas 1913 when he broke down again and again went to his brothers for another fortnight returned but had to resume his holiday for 2 mos. Again broke down Aug 1914 and stayed in Hampshire until Xmas 1914 when he returned to arrange to give up his practice. After this he became excited expansive talkative resulted he was snee by Di** and sent to Virginia Water. He was discharged at the end of 1 mo Arranged to take a *** in the RAand C stayed in Hampshire until May 20 but broke down another time of these arrangements
Has had violent impulses towards wife and children.
He was discharged 2 Aug 1916.
      On 3 August 1916 he was prescribed Veronal as a patient in the Bethlem Royal Hospital London.
      His father-in-law's 1926 Will implied that that WMGG was not gainfully employed.
